Anyone want a Personalized Book ?

I saw a post by Carol Baker asking for a personalized book. It reminded me that I have a few on my computer that I wrote last year, and made for some neighbor children. I included their pictures on a few pages, and used other Internet clipart finds to fill in the rest. They are in word documents, set up to print on LEGAL sized paper. I'd be glad to share them with you, if you have some youngsters to substitute into the stories. If its not a boy and a girl, there may be some gender pronouns that have to be changed, as well as their names, but it should be simple enough. We just folded the pages in half, made a front an back cover, whole punched all of that. We then added another piece wrapped around the spine, and used cord, and big buttons to bind it all, for a finished product. My teenage neighbor was my accomplice again, and we had fun manufacturing the books. Of course, we had to make one that starred her too.
One is Alec and Emily and the dinosaur(where they are on an “Dig” and find a dinosaur egg, which they accidentally hatch) and the other is Alec and Emily tame the Dragon.

An exerpt from the dinosaur story:

Alec went and got his book on dinosaurs. He looked carefully at all the pictures, until he found one that looked like their baby dinosaur. He decided it was a Therizinosaurs. He found out they liked to eat plants. They decided to call her Theresa.

That night both kids asked for extra vegetables at dinner. Their mother was so pleased, especially when they wanted some salad for a late night snack too. She was so glad they were eating so healthy. They fed the vegetables to the tiny dinosaur. She loved them. Then she curled up in her box and went to sleep.

Each day Theresa ate more and more food. It was getting hard to get enough food to keep her happy. She was outgrowing the box they were keeping her in too.

Every day she got bigger and bigger. Soon she was taller that Emily and Alec both. “What are we going to do?” asked Emily. “We can’t keep Theresa hidden any longer! We will have to tell our mother.”

    “Mom? Dad?”
    “Yes,” said their parents.
“We have something important to tell you.”
“Sure, you know you can tell us anything.”

Well, you'll have to contact me to find out what happens next!

Alec and Emily's adventure continue, when they go to the beach, and end up taming a dragon, or is it just in their imagination?

Another story is called The Amazing three and the Rejects, is a fish tank drama, about 3 perfect fish, who are joined by some "rejects", only to find out the rejects are having all the fun, and no one wants to look at them any more! It only has one main character, but you could add more, if you want.

    Excerpt:

The Amazing Three would refuse to play with Squirrelly and Swirly and Squishy. They called them The Rejects.

So The Rejects made their own fun. Sometimes they would play hide and seek in the weeds. They practiced their synchronized swimming and tricks, like diving and holding their breath to see who could do it the longest. They would play games like Red Light, Green Light and Mother May I? They had races to see who could swim the fastest.
The Amazing Three noticed that people who came to see the fish tank weren’t paying an attention to them. Everyone loved to watch The Rejects, Squirrelly and Swirly and Squishy do their tricks.

The Amazing Three really got mad when Paula added another perfect fish to the tank. That fish decided to ignore the Amazing Three and joined The Rejects in their fishy games. “How Childish!” declared the Amazing Three. As Paula added more and more fish, both perfect and rejects, the group playing with the Rejects grew larger and larger.

The Amazing Three soon got bored with their gossiping and staring at their own reflections. They saw how much fun The Rejects were having. “What?,” they said. We are the Amazing Three and we are amazing. Can’t those reject fish see that? Why don’t they ask us to play their games? Not that we would of course. We might crack a fin.
