Here is a two page layout to cut out on your cricut. The will quickly give you a nice two page spread. I don't know about you, but I spend a lot of time trying to think of how to use the Cricut to do a scrapbook page, and I thought it would be nice to have all the components in a single file.The paper layout was as shown.

I have the 24x12 inch mats, so I laid it out to use that. Since I have two sided Christmas paper(Solid green is on the other side of the gumdrop paper), I could lay the paper out with a single piece, and just turn the paper over once it was cut. On single sided paper, you would have an additional piece of paper for the back most "frame" on the picture box.

If you have the small cricut, this wouldn't work for you. You could manually cut your paper squares(background about 9", inside 8 1/4 inch ) to frame the picture and the long strip(3 inches by 12 inches). I'll give you a file with just the lettering and the Christmas and 2008 boxes. You'll have to be careful to scale the lettering to the same size. Try setting library default size to 4 inches to start.

Wow! Those mats are small. I could only fit one color on each mat. Get yourself an expression when you can afford it!

I hope you can find a use for these Christmas Layouts..Now I'm wishing I'd taken more pictures.I'll have to round some up from the rest of the family.

Someone named Danielle was looking for a tree house on the Sure Cuts A Lot Users group on yahoo. I didn't have one, but decided I could make one, and I did. I figured I might as well post it to the blog, so others could get to it easily.

If you open the file and look at it in inkscape mode, with view set to normal, you'll get an idea of the colors of paper to use. On the leftmost layer only the grass will show, and the darker green through the "leaf" marks on the lighter green tree(next layer). The branches and tree trunk goes on next, with tree house outline nestled in the branches. The last layer adds the walls and side of the tree house, and the steps going up the trunk. They should be in a lighter brown than the trunk, so they will show up.

Look at the picture of the assembled tree house, to clarify any questions you have about color layout.

If you don't like the design of my tree house, go ahead and change the house to another one! I don't mind. Make it look like your DREAM come true!

Here is another frame for your christmas pages. This one says Christmas Time at the top, Family Time at the bottom, Love and Laugh on the sides.
