Beer Bottle Card

Someone asked for a beer bottle card or something to give a friend who brews his own beer. I made the card then found this label site that lets you make your own label with a message on it. Then you can print and cut the label to put on the beer bottle, giving it a more realistic look, than if you tried to cut it on your cricut.

That site to make your label is

http://start.beerlabelbuilder.com/
It allows you to put 3 messages on your label. I put The best beer on earth! at the top, Matt's Own Brew in the middle and Happy Birthday on the bottom.

Of course you can cut around the label better than I could digitally.

Here is the card template:

One bottle card

Two bottle card

I guess you could make Two labels for the two bottle card.. Even more messages!

Scouting svg files to cut on your Cricut if you have SCAL

I saw some people in the forums I belong to would like Provocraft to come out with a Scouting cartridge. That gave me an idea to create some scouting related svg files today. I mostly did Girl Scouts, as that is what I am familiar with. THESE FILES ARE NOW PART OF THE PEEPS GO SCOUTING PACKAGE for sale for $9.00. Email me at dhoffman@spacey.net if you are interested. The paper dolls have been turned into an easy to use font. The package includes all the scouting related page titles too.

YOu get paper dolls in all the uniforms, and these and many more svg files for everything from cookie and pop corn sales, to titles for each rank of scouting.

Two page Winter/Christmas Layout

This beautiful wintry day is captured perfectly by the little cottage in the woods. Outside it may be snowy, but inside the children are laughing. The elves are getting the tree outside ready for Christmas, while the animals watch on. Christmas time is family time was added with 2peas Giggle font. I simplified the tree before cutting, but it still took about ten minutes. I think you could delete some of the small nodes within the tree and have it still look find.

Snowmen and Penguin SVG files

One person on the sure cuts a lot forum was looking for a penguin. Since I went to the trouble of creating the files, I figured I might as well post them here in the blog too. Braina was nice enough to send me back a photo of the cut version, one of which she made into a cute gift card holder. Thanks for the cool idea, Briana! We'll all have to make some now!

Here are a bunch of files containing penguins you might be able to use.

Free svg art to cut on your Cricut

These are an assortment of great svg files to cut on your cricut, if you have SCAL. I didn't cut them all, some of then have A LOT OF DETAIL.. You many want to simplify them before cutting, maybe not by removing nodes, but some of the small stuff it cuts out. Since the Cricut does all the work, and I'm only making one, I just let it do its thing.

Are we There Yet? Vacation page topper...free svg file

Cut the one on top in any color. Cut the bottom in a highlighting color. The top layerin the picture goes on top of the bottom layer, so that there is a small border around the title and the car.

Female Silhouttes to cut on Your Cricut if you have SCAL

These nice silhouettes have been converted to svg files, so that you can cut them on your Cricut, if you have Sure Cuts A Lot software. If you don't have it, you should get it! To get a clearer view of the images in the file, click on the SCAL screen above. It will give you more of the details.

I cut out the one lady from this file, the others I didn't try, but they look like they will cut fine.

You can download the file containing these images from here:

Eat, Drink and Be Scary!

I picked up this cute halloween paper in the dollar bins at Target so I had to come up with something to go on it! The paper is orange, with the fence on it, as you buy it. I added the house, figures and lettering. I'll redo the lettering so it won't be so many small pieces, those are nice, but were a pain to glue on. Then I'll upload the file for you to use.

Check out the target scrapbooking paper specials for a dollar, they had other fall paper, with coordinating scrap packs, or stickers. I used to get things like that at Dollar Tree, but lately they are always out of everything.
