Sunsets at our Cedaroma Lodge are spectacular -- enjoy! Cedaroma Lodge is a resort on Little St. Germain Lake, just off highway 70 at the south end of South bay on the lake.
"Preliminary results of a two-year cooperative study of Wisconsin black bears suggest that the population may be two times or more larger than currently thought. Biologists stress that the new estimate comes from a half-finished study and may change when data from the second year of the study are analyzed. Early results are encouraging, however, and indicate Wisconsin continues to provide quality habitat for large mammals like bears. “This is good news,” said Keith Warnke, Department of Natural Resources (DNR) deer and bear ecologist. “It means we have a healthy bear population and we may be able to expand bear hunting opportunity. The other good news is that more people will have opportunities to see these great animals in the wild.”
As dusk set each evening, guests this week gathered around for cookouts, friends and fun! This family was first to arrive at the Sunday evening campfire, hosted by Lou Clark, our Children's Activities Director. Marshmallow roasting and s'mores were enjoyed by all!
Others gathered at our North Point Campfire just as the sun had set.
Black Bear Lodge is home to many deer. They are not shy about walking through the resort property. They graze on some of our plants too on their way through to the water's edge.
